Smoothie King Margate opened this past week and is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, July 12, at noon.
The owners, Sam Homicil and Danny Aybar, along with their staff, offered free samples of their smoothies at the party after the Margate Fourth of July Parade. People were lined up to enjoy a treat.
“We are offering health-oriented smoothies for people who want to eat right and stay fit,” said Aybar.
After Aybar and Homicil completed their MBAs at Florida International University, they decided to open a business and chose Smoothie King as their venture. “We decided Margate would be a good place. Many young families enjoy our smoothies,” said Aybar.
Homicil said he is looking forward to serving the residents of Margate and building a business.
The business is located at 5412 West Atlantic Boulevard. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
