North Broward Prep had quite the week, with the girls volleyball team winning districts on Thursday and the football team recording their third victory on Friday.

The girls volleyball team upset top seed Calvary Christian Academy in five sets to win their first District Championship since 2011. They beat Dreyfoos School of the Arts and American Heritage High School in three sets earlier in the District Tournament.
“Winning a district championship for the first time in a decade feels refreshing and definitely motivating,” Head Coach Hector Ramirez said.” This team has persevered, endured, and conquered. Most importantly, they have trusted the process. We are definitely hungry for more.
NBP will head to Regionals with a record of 15-4 and will be the four seed, playing against Calvary Christian Academy again on Tuesday, October 24 at 7 p.m.
The football team recorded their third season win on Friday against Coral Springs Charter 45-8. The Eagles improved their record to 3-5 and will play Pine Crest School in their next game on Friday, October 27 at 7 p.m. The Panthers are 2-6 this year, with wins over Northeast and Coral Springs Charter. They also won their only meeting against NBP 35-14 in their only meeting in 2022.
The swim team also shined in their District Championship meet and is set to compete again in Regionals behind their seniors Ryan Altimari, Egor Frantsevskiy, Jaques Papescu, Simone Tommasini, and Martin Viola.
