Margate Mayor Antonio Arserio has raised more than $100,000 for his re-election campaign as he seeks a third term representing Seat 3 on the City Commission.
According to his campaign, Arserio contributed $42,500 of his own money, a move he said reflects his personal commitment to both his candidacy and the community.
“I believe in leading by example,” Arserio said. “By investing in my own campaign, I want residents to know that I truly have skin in the game and remain fully committed to serving our community with integrity, accountability, and dedication.”
The campaign also reported $25,000 in in-kind contributions carried over from previous efforts, which it says will support outreach and voter engagement.
Arserio, first elected in 2018 as the youngest person to serve on the Margate City Commission, has twice been appointed mayor. He has also been recognized twice as a “Home Rule Hero” by the Florida League of Cities.
Running for a third term, Arserio’s platform focuses on maintaining a family-friendly community, enhancing public safety, investing in infrastructure improvements, and promoting responsible governance.
“I am incredibly grateful for the support from residents, families, and local stakeholders who believe in the work we’ve accomplished and the vision we have for Margate’s future,” he said.
The campaign said it will continue engaging voters through community events, outreach initiatives, and direct communication in the coming months.
Arserio is a real estate broker and longtime Margate resident who is facing challenger Sloan Robbins for the seat.
