The Margate Police Department responded to a variety of incidents and made multiple arrests between June 24–30, 2025. These include retail thefts, narcotics arrests, domestic violence reports, and a shooting at a large gathering.
Crime Incidents
Vehicle Burglary
June 24 at 3380 NW 62nd Ave
A victim reported that after parking her unlocked car behind a store, her purse, two iPads, and an Apple Pencil were stolen within 10 minutes.
Residential Burglary
June 27 on W River Dr
Two black iPhone Pro Max devices, two 11-inch Apple iPads, and two Apple Ultra 2 watches were reported stolen from a home.
Petit Theft
June 30 at 804 N SR 7 (Marathon gas station)
A man reported leaving his cell phone, Florida driver’s license, and credit cards behind. While the phone was later recovered in Deerfield Beach, his ID and credit cards were missing.
Bicycle Theft
June 30 at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd (Walmart)
A Schwinn Varsity 1250 mountain bike with black and orange stripes was reported stolen from a bike rack. The victim’s friend’s bike, which was not locked, remained untouched.
Retail Theft
June 30 at Dollar General, 700 S SR 7
One Black female and one Hispanic female stole soap and laundry detergent and fled in a green Hyundai Sonata.
Shooting
SW 66th Ter
Officers responded to reports of a shooting during a large party. No victims were located. Criminal Investigations and Crime Scene units were notified.

Uttering Forged Instrument/Grand Theft/VOP Arrest
June 24 at 7290 W. Atlantic Blvd (Space Coast Credit Union)
A male suspect was arrested after attempting to cash a fraudulent check. A bank employee positively identified him. He was turned over to BSO.
Domestic Battery/Sex Battery/Violation of Restraining Order
NW 23rd Street
Ashton White (B/M, DOB 4/19/1997) was accused of sexually battering a victim at an Airbnb. The victim refused to provide a statement. White fled the scene. A national information center (NIC) entry was completed.
Stolen Vehicle Arrest
June 24 at 1982 N SR 7
Robert Holness (DOB 9/17/1992) was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Narcotics Arrest
June 25 at 7490 NW 1st St
Jalen Petin (W/M, DOB 2/23/1993) was found in possession of suspected fentanyl during a police walk-through at 12:56 a.m.
Domestic Battery Arrest
Banks Road
Treasure Brown (B/F, DOB 12/16/2001) was arrested for pepper-spraying a victim. She was turned over to BSO.
Traffic & Capias Arrest
June 27 at 7800 W Atlantic Blvd
Celeste Augustine-Porter (DOB 8/14/2000) was arrested during a traffic stop.
Welfare Fraud Warrant Arrest
171 S State Road 7
Wandeline Eloi-Charles (B/F, DOB 8/14/1985) was arrested during a traffic stop after a confirmed BSO warrant. She was taken to BSO Main Jail.
Traffic & Capias Arrests Following Pursuit
June 30 near 6260 W Atlantic Blvd
Andre K. Grant Jr. (B/M, DOB 10/10/2004) and Corey L. McCutcheon (B/M, DOB 10/14/2009) were stopped after fleeing on a dirt bike. Grant was arrested for fleeing police and traffic charges. McCutcheon had six felony warrants and was also taken into custody.
