Easton Kadeem Harrison {Lauderdale Lakes}
A Lauderdale Lakes commissioner is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, according to a Margate Police investigation that was later referred to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.
According to a Margate Police Department investigative report, Easton Kadeem Harrison, 30, is accused of sexually battering the teenage victim after allegedly picking her up near a Wawa in Coral Springs in September 2025 and driving her to his residence, where investigators say the assault occurred.Â
The allegations were initially reported to the Coral Springs Police Department before the case was transferred to Margate because investigators believed the alleged assault took place within Margate city limits.
Police records identify Harrison as a City of Lauderdale Lakes commissioner.
According to the report, the teen told investigators that Harrison picked her up before school, drove her to his condominium, engaged in nonconsensual vaginal intercourse with her, later dropped her off near the Wawa, gave her $100, and instructed her not to tell anyone what had happened.
The victim would later tell a guidance counselor at her school that Harrison had raped her.
According to records, the victim’s mother told investigators she called Harrison and asked, “You raped my daughter?” Harrison immediately hung up. She says her husband also spoke to Harrison, and Harrison told him that he was “drunk” when he was with the victim.
Detectives later used interviews, surveillance footage, text messages, license plate reader data, and witness statements while attempting to corroborate the allegations.
During the investigation, detectives interviewed the victim, her mother, friends, and other witnesses. One witness told investigators she saw the victim leave the Wawa with Harrison before later learning of the alleged assault. Another witness provided detectives with text messages that allegedly showed communication between Harrison and the victim around the time of the incident.
Investigators also obtained surveillance video from the Wawa that reportedly showed Harrison arriving in a gray Nissan, speaking with the victim, and later leaving the parking lot with her in the vehicle.Â
Automated license plate reader data reviewed by detectives allegedly showed a vehicle matching Harrison’s traveling from the Wawa area to his Lauderdale Lakes residence before returning toward Coral Springs later that morning.
The report states Harrison, through his attorney, denied the allegations and declined to provide a statement to investigators.
Margate detectives ultimately referred the case to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit for continued investigation. A supplemental report indicates that detectives met with BSO investigators in January, turned over the case file, obtained additional surveillance video, requested cellphone-related records, and continued to gather evidence before concluding their involvement.
As of the date of the report, the case had been referred to another agency for follow-up investigation. The records reviewed do not indicate whether criminal charges have since been filed.
