Atlantic Center Shopping Plaza, a large plaza located at 6828-6896 West Atlantic Boulevard, will soon undergo improvements.
During the May 14 Margate Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) meeting, the board approved a resolution for a grant agreement with Atlantic Center Shopping Plaza to renovate the property in an amount not to exceed $600,000.
The work will include significant exterior improvements, complete roof replacement, a new parking lot, new doors and windows, architectural plans, and other improvements to make the plaza more attractive to businesses and the surrounding community.
Members of the board were excited about the grant and planned improvements. Chair Anthony Caggiano said, “This will mean major improvements to the plaza, and I would like to see improvements at other plazas.”
Board member Antonio Arserio was also pleased with the plans and told the developer, “I hope you are successful.”
