Gentle Dog and Shy Kitten Seek Loving Forever Homes at Broward County Humane Society

Two lovable pets at the Humane Society of Broward County are seeking their forever families. Tulip, a seven-year-old dog, and Purdy, a six-month-old kitten, patiently wait for someone special to take them home.

Tulip, a gentle seven-year-old dog (ID 689545), is perfect for families with children. This sweet girl adores cuddling, dressing up, and basking in love. Tulip is fully potty-trained, well-behaved, and sure to bring joy to any home.

Her quirks include “talking” to dogs on the TV screen. While she gets along well with cats and small dogs, she feels threatened by larger dogs. Tulip’s sensitive nature makes kennel life tough for her, and she’s been waiting longer than any other dog at the shelter to find her forever home.

Initially transferred from another facility during hurricane preparations, Tulip is ready to find her hero and bring happiness to a lucky adopter.

Purdy, a six-month-old tabby cat (ID A689470), has spent much of her young life in the shelter. Arriving in early October, this shy kitty often finds solace in her cat tree or bed.

Purdy is looking for a quiet home where she can feel safe, receive plenty of TLC, and enjoy being spoiled. With patience and love, she is sure to blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.
