Attention all Woodlands parents who are interested in reassigning their children to other schools: the deadline to submit a School Choice application for the 2014/15 school year is quickly approaching.
Applications are now being accepted for:
- School Reassignment
- Nova Schools
- Magnet Schools
The application window will close on February 12, 2014. Please note, this is the first time the school reassignment application process has been included in the window to apply for Nova and magnet schools.
Applications can be submitted online at browardschools.com, just click on the School Choice – It’s Easy as 1,2,3 icon.
Applications will also be available at the 1st floor security desk in the Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center. Applications can be submitted by mail or in person, but try to do it online as it’s extremely easy, plus you can trace your application online. In fact, I found out that my child was accepted in their school online a few days before the actual letter arrived at our home.
Mail completed applications to:
Attn: Demographics & Student Assignments
School Board of Broward County, Florida
600 SE Third Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Hand-deliver~completed applications to:
Security Desk – 1st Floor
Kathleen C. Wright Administration Center
Attn: Demographics & Student Assignments
Remember, they use a lottery system. Not a first-come first-serve system so you have the same chance of getting into a school or program if you turn it in the first day or the last day. If there are too many students for the amount of open seats, then it will go into a lottery.
Best of luck!
