Call it the case of the missing guinea pig.
Coconut Creek Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the owners of the furry critter, who was found Wednesday morning.
“Well, this is a first! We’ve never posted a found guinea pig before… until now!” police wrote in a Facebook post, along with a photo of the animal. “This little guy was found lost and alone at the Walgreens on Coconut Creek Parkway this morning. He’s [or she’s?] in the secure hands of [animal care experts] now.”
“If you can help us facilitate a family reunification with this one, please call 954-973-6700.”
