TBT Training celebrated its grand opening in Margate with a ribbon cutting and social event on Saturday.
Specializing in helping athletes realize their full potential, TBT Training offers the very latest technology.
The 9,800-square-foot facility houses four indoor batting cages, three pitching mounds, and a large area dedicated to weight and fitness training. Pitchers can receive a complete computerized analysis of their throwing motion, and a coach can then use that information to provide recommendations on how they can improve.
Mike White, director of operations, said they are helping athletes achieve their goals. “We can also train people to improve in soccer, softball, volleyball, and other sports.”
Orsen Josephine, a pitching coach and former minor league player, loves helping young baseball players succeed.
“We can fix the mechanics of a baseball player’s throwing motion. We have drills to help them improve. I can also help players improve their fielding.”
At the grand opening, athletes from various local teams and leagues and Vice Mayor Arlene Schwartz attended.
“This will be good for Margate,” she said. “People can come here, work out and eat in nearby restaurants, and shop in local stores,” “This will help in the business development of the area.”
Mayor Tommy Ruzzano loves baseball and played in high school and college. “This is good for the community… it is good that young people will have a place to practice baseball,” he said.
City Manager Cale Curtiss also participated in the ribbon cutting. “I love baseball and played on the Coconut Creek High School team,” he said. “This business will be good for Margate.”
TBT Training is located at 1041 North State Road 7, Margate; another location is at 5801 Congress Ave in Boca Raton.
