Coming off one of the greatest seasons in school history, the Monarch High School football team had three players compete in the BCAA All-Star Game on Thursday.
Kevin Powell, Trevon Chissom, and Holden Zeltner competed after the Knights won their second straight District Championship and first Regional Title in school history. Monarch finished the season 11-3, with these three seniors making a significant impact.
Powell led the team with three interceptions, 53 tackles, and a forced fumble. Trevon Chissom also shined defensively, finishing second on the team in tackles with 83 and sacks with 17.5.
Keltner played on the offense line and helped block for a passing game that threw for over 4,400 yards and ran for 2.253 yards. He is also committed to Florida Atlantic University alongside Gabriel Birnbaum.
Monarch also selected Kaylee Hamilton and Gianna Mercado as cheerleaders for the game.
