Three people were killed in a traffic crash in Margate Tuesday night, police said.
The crash happened at the intersection of Rock Island Road and Royal Palm Boulevard around 11:55 p.m. when a white BMW headed south on Rock Island Road collided with a silver Honda Accord headed eastbound on Royal Palm Boulevard, according to the Margate Police Department.
The BMW then collided with a black Toyota Camry that was traveling north on Rock Island Road, police said.
The driver of the Honda, Brayan Steven Wilches, 24, and his rear passenger, Diana Nino, 47, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The front passenger of the Honda, Nancy Sanchez, 27, was rushed to Broward Health North and died a short time later, police said.
A passenger in the BMW, whose name was not made public, was also taken to Broward Health North with serious injuries.
The driver of the BMW, Jeremiah Anderson, 36, of Lauderhill was taken to Broward Health North with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Margate Fire Rescue.
This cause of the crash is under investigation.
