One person was shot and another stabbed Monday afternoon at a residence in Margate, police said.
Police said there was an altercation at the home in the 6900 block of Northwest Fourth Place shortly before noon. One person injured in the incident was transported to Broward Health North, and another person was treated on the scene, according to Margate Police Lieutenant Michael Druzbik.
One person was taken into custody by police, Druzbik said.
Both the subject and victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
“This was a non-domestic and isolated incident… there is no threat to the community,” Druzbik said.
The investigation was ongoing, and detectives were still on the scene shortly before 3 p.m.
