I tweeted yesterday that the old Steak and Ale Restaurant that has been sitting empty for a few years will be demolished. What will be built in it’s place?
POLL CLOSED
A lot of you got the RIGHT answer. Yes, a bank will be built where the former Steak and Ale exists. Chase Bank will be moving in and the City of Tamarac is hoping that it will be it’s first LEED Certified building. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies intended to improve performance in metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED is intended to provide building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
Sorry to the people who thought it was going to be a strip club!
