The Coconut Creek-Margate Democratic Club has announced its monthly meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Coconut Creek Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road.
This month’s gathering promises to be especially engaging as Mayor Sandra Welch of Coconut Creek will be the guest speaker.
Attendees can expect a comprehensive update from Mayor Welch on the latest developments in the city. The meeting will also serve as a platform for community members to engage in club business and express their ideas through postcard writing activities.
The evening will begin with fellowship at 7:20 p.m., followed by the official call to order at 7:30 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to join in the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner and the Pledge of Allegiance, which will kick off the formal proceedings and Welch is scheduled to speak at 8:00 p.m.
In addition to the guest speaker’s presentation, the meeting will cover club business and conclude with a segment dedicated to the “Good of the Club,” a forum for members to share news and ideas pertinent to the community’s welfare.
The meeting will adjourn at 9:00 p.m.
Members are reminded to renew their memberships, and they can do so using various payment methods, including credit cards, cash, or checks. Payments via PayPal are also accepted, and all checks should be made payable to the “Coconut Creek Democratic Club.”
The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month, alternating between Coconut Creek and Margate locations throughout the year.
