Adrienne Pezzolanti had plenty of gently used children’s clothing at home and knew other children needed them.
Her daughter, Siena, had outgrown her clothing. Rather than donate it, she wanted to receive some money for good-as-new items.
“I had to drive an hour to find a place to sell the clothing,” she said.
Pezzolanti saw a business opportunity and created Tots 2 Teens, a convenient solution where families can bring clothing their children have outgrown or worn only a few times to sell to the store. Families who want to purchase children’s clothing in good condition can find it at Tots 2 Teens.
According to Pezzolanti, customers can bring clothing in good condition for young children and teenagers and receive 25 to 35 percent of the estimated value of the items.
Tots 2 Teens offers these items at affordable prices, selling baby and young children’s clothing and shoes for about $8 and clothing and shoes for teens at about $10. The store also offers toys at reasonable prices.
“This is a way to cycle good clothing back into the community,” she said.
A grand opening event for Tots 2 Teens was held on September 28.
Tots 2 Teens is located at 5510 Sample Road in Margate and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
