Broward County will be starting the median reconstruction on Rock Island Road to improve the northbound left-turn lane onto Sago Palm Boulevard.
According to Anh Ton, Director of the the Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division for Broward County, a traffic study was conducted earlier this year at the intersection and during the review, county staff noted that the median on the north side of Rock Island Road extends excessively south, potentially interfering with the northbound left-turn movement from Rock Island Road onto Sago Palm Boulevard.
So please note that Broward County will be starting this median reconstruction on Rock Island Road to improve the northbound left-turn lane onto Sago Palm Boulevard on Monday, October 22, 2012.
Currently, the utility companies and municipalities are in the process of locating their underground facilities in front of the Woodlands.
The project is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting.
