Velentino and Chazz. {Broward County Animal Care}
Two lovable dogs at Broward County Animal Care are looking for their forever families. Valentino, a 3-year-old American Staffordshire mix, and Chazz, a 1-year and 5-month-old Labrador Retriever mix, are waiting for the right adopters to give them the homes they deserve.
Valentino
Valentino (A2328754) has been at the shelter for over 470 days, first arriving in November 2023 as a malnourished stray from Hollywood. Weighing only 50 pounds and suffering from flaky skin, Valentino has since transformed into a healthy 70-pound pup with a thick coat and a strong spirit.
Although he may seem excitable in his kennel, Valentino is a favorite among volunteers and staff. He’s a “Broward Buddies” all-star and a “Playgroup Rockstar,” thriving in social settings with other dogs. He enjoys swimming in the play yard pool and playing rough-and-tumble with his canine friends. His foster family even suspects he understands German commands!
Valentino is well-mannered, gentle, and attentive, making him a great fit for an active household with adults or families with older children. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today—with no adoption fees. Plus, thanks to The Pet Project, Valentino will receive free food, vaccines, and monthly preventatives for life.
Chazz
Chazz (A2386337), also known as the “Chazz-manian Devil,” is a tall, lanky, and playful Labrador Retriever mix. He was found as a stray in Margate in October 2024 and has been waiting for a home for over five months.
Chazz is bursting with energy and loves to play with other dogs in playgroups. He thrives on adventure, making him a perfect match for an active household, especially one with a big yard where he can run and explore. While he may seem overly excitable in his kennel, he calms down after a long walk or run.
Chazz would do best in a home with active adults or families with teenage children who can provide the love, patience, and structure he needs to mature into a well-mannered companion.
Like Valentino, Chazz is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and adoption fees are waived.
How to Adopt
Valentino and Chazz are ready to meet their forever families at Broward County Animal Care, located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. All adopted pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receive their Broward County Pet Registration Tag—completely free of charge.
