Margate Police responded to various calls through April 28. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Stolen Vehicle
A black 2022 Dodge Ram TRX was stolen from a driveway on Charlotte Court around 4:30 a.m. Two suspects arrived in a white Honda or Nissan Altima around 3:59 a.m. and left the area at approximately 4:25 a.m. A 9mm firearm and credit cards were also stolen from the vehicle.
Burglary to Vehicle – Arrests Made
Three juveniles were arrested after being observed burglarizing a vehicle on SW 11th Street. A BOLO was issued, and Margate officers located the suspects—who were in possession of stolen property—inside a North Lauderdale complex.

Retail Theft – Arrest
Trisha Ann Serrao, 6/3/1979, was arrested at Walmart on W. Atlantic Blvd. for attempting to leave with a felony amount of merchandise. She was also in possession of multiple personal IDs and narcotics and attempted to smuggle drugs into jail.
DUI Crash – Arrest
Shannoye Yanique Powell, 4/28/1997, was arrested after crashing a vehicle into the side of a residence on NW 66th Terrace. The BSO DUI Task Force responded.
Strong-Arm Robbery
A suspect described as a Black male, 5’7″ to 5’9″, wearing a pink “Spyder” hoodie, gray sweatpants, and dark slides, snatched a laptop from a Best Buy employee and fled out the back door.
Warrant Arrest
Crystal Whitley, 12/22/1989, was located at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital and arrested on outstanding warrants for human trafficking of a minor and child neglect.
Burglary to Trailer
A trailer on NW 11th Street was found with its rear door removed and the side door damaged. Nothing appeared to be missing. The lock was found discarded in a nearby trash bin.
Capias Arrest
Kevin Castaneda, 8/04/1994, turned himself in at the police station and was arrested on an active warrant.
Criminal Mischief
Stickers with hate symbols were placed on two Teslas in the HCA Hospital parking lot.
Resisting Without Violence – Arrest
Daniel Jacques, 7/24/1978, was arrested at SW 65th Avenue for resisting without violence.
Traffic & Violation of Probation – Arrest
Trayvon Watson, 8/24/1995, was arrested at W. Atlantic Blvd. for traffic-related offenses and violation of probation.
Warrant Arrest – No Bond (Battery)
Amaya Tay`Shun Fulton, 1/28/2005, was arrested at Seminole Terrace on an outstanding no-bond warrant for battery.
Attempted Vehicle Burglary
Unknown suspects attempted to break into a Toyota Tundra on Coral Lake Drive by drilling the lock of the driver-side door. No entry was made and nothing was taken.
Petit Theft and Other Charges – Arrest
Anthony Bambino, 10/05/1996, was arrested at S. SR 7 for petit theft, driving with a suspended license, and attaching an unassigned tag.
Traffic Arrest – Arrest
Kevin Ramnarine was arrested at N. SR 7 for an undisclosed traffic offense.
Fleeing & Eluding – Arrest
Ulysses Jones was arrested at Southgate Blvd for fleeing and eluding police.
Domestic Battery – Not in Custody
Steve Goode, 10/25/1982, was accused of striking a female during an argument at an apartment on SW 56th Terrace. A not-in-custody report was filed.
Aggravated Assault & Battery – Arrest
Jesse Jone IV, 3/09/2000, was arrested on Royal Palm Blvd after reportedly chasing a victim across the street while threatening her with a firearm. He barricaded himself inside their residence before being taken into custody by responding units, including SRT, K9, and CIU.
Retail Theft & Criminal Mischief – NIC
Michael Erskine was identified as the suspect who attempted to steal items from a Mobile gas station on W. Sample Road. After being locked inside by an employee, the suspect shattered the glass door and fled in a blue Toyota truck. A not-in-custody report was completed.
Burglary to Vehicle/Battery – Arrest
An adult male suspect reportedly grabbed a 17-year-old male through an open car window on NW 23rd Street. The teen had stopped to offer help. Witnesses identified the suspect, who was located and arrested nearby.
Domestic Battery & Child Neglect – NIC
Kimberly Garner, 7/17/1966, allegedly physically assaulted a child during a domestic incident on SW 55th Way. The victim fled and contacted police. DCF was notified, and a removal was initiated. Garner was not located at the time.
