Senior Pup and Shy Cat Ready for New Beginnings at Broward County Animal Care

Two special pets are hoping to find loving forever homes through Broward County Animal Care: Pilsner, a gentle 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, and Robin, a timid but sweet 4-year-old domestic shorthair cat.

Pilsner, a senior dog with a soft heart and soulful eyes, was found underweight as a stray. Though shy at first, he quickly opens up and enjoys affection, especially a good head scratch and a crunchy treat. Known for his calm nature, Pilsner is leash-trained, friendly with children, and keeps his kennel clean, suggesting he’s housetrained. He’s an ideal companion for anyone looking for a well-mannered and loyal Shepherd mix. Pilsner is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption with all fees waived.

Robin, a petite black and white cat, came to the shelter after her owner could no longer care for her and 14 other cats. Naturally shy in the shelter environment, Robin has a quiet presence and slowly warms up to gentle attention, especially when offered her favorite crunchy treats. Once comfortable, she becomes affectionate and enjoys watching her humans go about their day from her favorite perch. Robin is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and her adoption fee is also waived.

Both pets are available at Broward County Animal Care, located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. All adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a Broward County Pet Registration Tag.
