From Margate Mayor Anthony Caggiano
I am thrilled to announce a fantastic lineup of events in the City of Margate this October that promise fun, laughter, and memorable moments for everyone in our community. Please mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss them.
Sounds of Sundown on October 7, 5-9 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex. Join us under the Covered Field for another fun evening of live music and food trucks at our Sounds of Sundown concert on Saturday, October 7, featuring The Reaxtion Band. Bring your blankets or chairs to enjoy a night of beautiful music and good company.
Fall Festival on October 28, 6-10 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex. Our annual Fall Festival is back and better than ever. On Saturday, October 28, bring your family and friends for more live music and family-friendly activities like pony rides, a petting zoo, and a haunted house. There will be costume contests for all ages, carved pumpkin and scarecrow-building contests, and more.
Trunk or Treat on October 31, 5-8 p.m. at Margate City Hall parking lot. Halloween is just around the corner, and we’re getting ready to celebrate it in style. On Tuesday, October 31, dress up in your silliest costume and head to our Trunk or Treat event at City Hall’s parking lot. It’s a safe and enjoyable way for kids to collect delicious treats from creatively decorated vehicle trunks.
In October, we invite you to visit the newly renovated Serino Park, 5600 SW 8 Court. You will love the new covered playground, splash pad, fitness court, and other new amenities that make this local park an ideal place to spend time with your family.
Come on out to these events and enjoy because in Margate, “Together We Make It Great.”
Best regards,
Anthony
