Marion Marini was honored during the September 18 Margate commission meeting for reaching an important milestone.
Marini, who will celebrate her 100th birthday on September 20, lives at Waterside Landing in Margate. She maintains an active lifestyle at her age, a testament to her vitality.
According to Joseph Verner, Waterside’s community engagement director, Marini loves to play poker and other card games and spend time with friends. “I love to go out and shop,” she said.
Mayor Tommy Ruzzano praised the Bronx native for living a long life and moving to the city 15 years ago and presented her with a plaque.
