Angelo Manzi, a developing baseball player, was honored as athlete of the month during the September 18 Margate commission meeting.
At seven, Manzi plays in the coach pitch Margate baseball league and has improved dramatically over the year. His father, Michael Peterson, coaches Manzi’s team and is proud of his son’s progress.
“He moved from t-ball to coach pitch this year and struggled at first. He improved and became an all-star level player,” said Peterson, who also teaches third grade at Margate Elementary School.
Mayor Tommy Ruzzano praised Manzi’s effort and showed a highlight video of his best baseball performance.
