Thomas Ruzzano helped Margate residents place trees in their cars as part of the city’s tree giveaway event on the morning of April 25.
The son of commissioner Tommy Ruzzano, Thomas served as a volunteer and helped residents select their tree. City personnel also helped with the tree distribution. “This is a great event because we are helping to improve the city,” said Thomas.
About 500 trees, including orange, grapefruit, gumbo limbo, crepe myrtle, and others, were given away, according to Tommy. “This is good because we are increasing the tree canopy and keeping Margate green,” he said.
