A Margate man is facing criminal charges for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating in front of a woman outside a gym—then biting a police officer’s finger, court records show.
Robert Mondragon, 28, of Banks Road, was arrested by Margate Police on March 14 after failing to follow the conditions of his pretrial release in the case, according to an arrest affidavit.
He was originally charged September 27, 2021, after driving to the parking lot of The Hive gym in Davie and asking a woman exiting the gym how to get to Interstate-95, records show.
Mondragon, who was on break from his job at a nearby food distribution warehouse, took out his penis and began masturbating in front of the victim, the affidavit states.
Later, while in the custody of the Davie Police Department, Mondragon physically resisted an officer, records allege.
“During the altercation, [Mondragon] bit [an officer’s] left middle finger, breaking the skin and causing it to bleed,” police wrote.
Court records show that Mondragon is charged with indecent exposure, battery on a law enforcement officer, and violating his pretrial release conditions.
He was being held without bond Wednesday at the Broward Main Jail.
