Get Free Exterior Paint at Margate’s Free Paint Giveaway at Oriole Park on April 10

Thanks to the city’s Free Paint Program, Margate homeowners can refresh their properties at no cost.

The Free Paint Giveaway event will take place on April 10 at Oriole Park from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The initiative provides residents with free exterior paint in a flat finish.

The Free Pain program is part of Margate’s commitment to maintaining community aesthetics and promoting sustainability by reusing recycled paint. This initiative, part of the “Paint It Broward” program, helps residents enhance their homes and contributes to environmental efforts by repurposing unused paint.

By providing free resources to homeowners, the city aims to support property upkeep while reducing waste.

Available colors include Terracotta, Beige, Gray, and Off-White. Residents interested in receiving free paint must apply in advance and provide proof of Margate residency.

Each household is eligible for up to four 5-gallon paint buckets per year. The paint is only for residential exterior use and cannot be used for commercial or multifamily properties.

Participants must arrive by vehicle on the day of distribution. Pedestrian and bicycle pickups are not permitted. City staff will place the paint directly into each recipient’s vehicle’s trunk or truck bed. No returns of pain received are allowed.
