Margate Crime Update: Robberies, Assaults, and Multiple Arrests Reported Between March 25-29

Margate Police responded to various calls through April 7. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Traffic and DUI Offenses

Al Arrestable Traffic Violations (non-DUI) – Occurred between March 31 at 7:48 p.m. and April 1 at 12:10 a.m. at 1735 Banks Rd. Reported April 1.

DUI Arrests:

Frederick Douglass Scott, 36, arrested April 5 at 450 Rock Island Rd/W Atlantic Blvd.

Delroy Anthony Whyte, 66, arrested April 6 at Margate Blvd/N SR 7.

Burglary (Conveyance) – Charlotte Ct – April 4. Victim: Mohamad Ahmad Mahmoud.

Battery-Touch or Strike – April 5 at 974 S State Rd 7. Victim: 44-year-old white female.

Sonia M. Fagundes, 67, arrested April 5 at Brandywine Dr.

Camylla Silva Carvalho, 34, arrested April 7 on SW 5th St.

Robbery

Carjacking with Firearm – April 2 at SW 11th St. Arrest made: Marion Eugene Collins, 19.

Stalking and Elder Abuse

Stalking – NW 80th Ave on April 2. Victim: 24-year-old Black female.

Elder Abuse/Neglect – Country Club Dr on April 2. Victim: 79-year-old white female.

Found/Lost Property

Lost Property – Between March 30 and April 3 at 1000 N SR 7.

Found Property – April 4 at 5790 Margate Blvd.

Trespassing

Kevin P. Banning, 57, arrested for trespassing after warning at 2000 N SR 7 on April 6.
