Margate Crime Update: 20K Fraud and Car Burglaries

Through our joint effort with the Margate Police Department to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Margate’s crime and arrests through Nov. 5, 2022.

Aggravated Assault

A 27-year-old female was the victim of Aggravated Assault on Lakeside Dr on 11/06/2022. 

Burglary Conveyance

A 29-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on S State Road 7 on 11/02/2022. Tot. Est.  Loss: $2,000. 

A 48-year-old male was the victim of Auto Theft on Sw 4th St on 11/01/2022. 

A 45-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 80th Ave on 11/05/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $82.  

Fraud

A 65-year-old female was the victim of Fraud-All Other on N State Rd. 7 on 11/02/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,600. 

A 54-year-old male was the victim of Fraud Identity Theft on W Commercial Blvd on 11/03/2022. 

A 65-year-old male was the victim of Fraud-All Other on Banks Rd on 11/05/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $20,000.  

Arrests

Gilbert, Shakeem Lloyd, 20, was arrested on charges of Stolen Prop-deal on N State Road 7 on 11/01/2022.

Clerjuste, Johnny, 19, was arrested on charges of Burgl-conveyance, Unoccupied/unarmed on W Atlantic Blvd on 11/01/2022. 

Mallard, Shala Chimere, 32, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense on 5555 W Atlantic Blvd on 11/01/2022. 

Philip, Damari Jamal, 37, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols at 5555 W Atlantic Blvd on 11/01/2022. 

Maxwell, Stephen Eric, 57, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense at 7230 W Atlantic Blvd on 11/01/2022.
