Margate Crime Blotter: Robbery, Battery, and Thefts Lead to Multiple Arrests

Margate Crime update by Margate Talk

Margate Police responded to various calls through March 1. Below is a detailed account of the incidents handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Incidents

Battery
• A 53-year-old woman was the victim of battery at NW 65th Terrace on February 25 between 5:09 a.m. and 6:16 a.m.

Fraud
• A 65-year-old man was the victim of fraud at Marion Avenue between January 22 and February 25. The incident was reported on February 25.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting
• Dollar General was the victim of retail theft at 700 S State Road 7 on February 25 at 2:02 p.m. The estimated loss was $130.

Property Damage
• A 70-year-old man was the victim of property damage at 671 Kathy Lane on February 25. The incident occurred between 4:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and was reported the same day.
• Fiesta Town Homes was the victim of property damage at 50 Fiesta Way on February 17 at 2:38 p.m. The incident was reported on February 25.

Theft – All Other
• A theft occurred at 7400 NW 5th Place on February 25 at 4:20 p.m. The estimated loss was $1,500.
• A theft occurred at Courtyard Drive between 3:00 a.m. on February 27 and 2:32 p.m. on March 1. The estimated loss was $3,500.

Assist Other Agency (AOA)
• An assist other agency (AOA) incident occurred at 5482 Lakewood Circle on February 25 at 5:43 p.m. No victims were listed.

Robbery by Sudden Snatching
• A 65-year-old woman was the victim of a robbery by sudden snatching at 50 N State Road 7 on February 25 at 8:25 p.m. The estimated loss was $400.

Baker/Marchman Act
• A 46-year-old woman was taken into protective custody under the Baker/Marchman Act at 5825 Toscana Place on March 1 between 6:30 p.m. and 6:36 p.m.
• A 38-year-old man was taken into protective custody under the Baker/Marchman Act at 41 Banks Road on March 1 at 6:40 p.m.

Arrests

• Stanley Lasserra, 59, was arrested on a charge of battery – touch or strike (misdemeanor) at NW 65th Terrace on February 25.
• Dwight Terrel McConn, 29, was arrested on a charge of robbery – no firearm or weapon at 24 N State Road 7 on February 25.
• Louverture Jacques, 55, was arrested on a warrant (felony) at 5365 W Atlantic Blvd on February 26.
• Hailey Nicole Nazario, 23, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery causing bodily harm/disfigurement – dating violence (felony) at NW 65th Avenue on February 27.
• Raymond Ducal Eliene, 29, was arrested on a warrant at 430 N State Road 7 on February 27.
