The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between September 30 and October 5, 2025.
Burglary
September 30, 2025 | 322 S. State Road 7
A female suspect removed a backpack from a vehicle. Witnesses said she exited a white Toyota Camry and allegedly forcefully took the bag from the victim’s grip before fleeing. The backpack contained medications, personal documents, a wallet with $17, and $700 in cash inside a SpongeBob sock.
Retail Theft
700 S. State Road 7 (Dollar General)
A female wearing a black shirt, black pants, and white sneakers stole two packages of Angel Soft toilet paper and left in a silver Chevy Malibu LT.
Grand Theft Auto
SW 69th Avenue
A 1989 maroon Chevrolet Caprice Classic, no tag, was stolen from a driveway.
Retail Theft
5555 W. Atlantic Blvd. (Walmart)
An unknown male wearing a white shirt, black hoodie, and blue jeans stole a Straight Talk Moto G cellphone valued at $39.88. The suspect passed all points of sale without paying. Prosecution is desired.
Theft
2801 N. State Road 7
A former “Canteen” employee used a work-issued key to access vending machines, stealing about $200 in cash and coins. The suspect is believed to have committed similar thefts at multiple facilities from South Miami-Dade through North Palm Beach, with losses of about $1,400 in Broward alone.
Grand Theft
6001 NW 7th Street
Two Italica mopeds were stolen between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Vandalism/Graffiti
5442 W. Atlantic Blvd. (Jesse’s Xtreme Sports Bar)
Graffiti was reported at the rear of the business.
Aggravated Assault & Domestic Battery
5350 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Norman Singletary allegedly pushed a victim during an argument and threatened to kill her by pushing her into traffic. He then shoved the victim onto Atlantic Blvd. Witnesses provided statements. The suspect was gone on arrival. NIC completed.

Defendant: Kamari Haye, B/M, DOB 04/27/2000
Charges: Trafficking Oxycodone, Possession of a firearm during a felony, Tint violation
A traffic stop for tint led to the arrest after the plain smell of cannabis was detected.
Domestic Violence Arrest
Pinewalk Dr. N.
Defendant: Warline Jean, B/F, DOB 05/19/1986
Charges: Aggravated Battery (Domestic Violence)
Jean allegedly threw a candle encased in glass at a victim, striking him in the head. She was arrested and transferred to BSO.
Domestic Battery Arrest
Festival Dr.
Defendant: Frantz Augustin
Augustin was involved in a physical altercation that resulted in a scratch and torn clothing on the victim.
Domestic Battery/Strangulation & Burglary Arrests
NW 18th Court
Defendants: Kamesha Elisias (DOB 07/13/2005), Trekevius Elisias (DOB 02/06/2001), and Javell Elisias (DOB 04/23/1990)
The victim was assaulted after a verbal altercation turned physical. Kamesha allegedly initiated the altercation, and Trekevius and Javell Elisias reportedly choked and struck the victim. Probable cause affidavits were completed for all three.
Retail Theft & Trespass Arrest
5555 W. Atlantic Blvd. (Walmart) | October 3, 2025, 6 p.m.
Defendant: Deshae Crumbley, DOB 02/22/1987
Crumbley, previously trespassed, was caught stealing sunglasses and food.
Warrant Arrest
NW 11th Street
Defendant: Jenny Houts, W/F, DOB 11/16/1990
Houts was found to have an active DUI warrant and was also charged with violation of injunction. She was taken to Northwest Medical Center for clearance before being booked into BSO Main Jail.
Assault & Battery Arrest
Hungry Howie’s, 7304 Royal Palm Blvd.
Defendant: Robert Neito, W/M, DOB 07/28/1978
Neito allegedly threatened to follow an employee home and kill him, then struck a customer inside the business. Four witnesses identified him. He was arrested and transferred to BSO.
DUI Arrest
Rock Island Rd. / W. Sample Rd.
Defendant: Michael Acevedo, H/M, DOB 05/18/1977
Acevedo was stopped after driving carelessly and nearly colliding with an officer’s vehicle. He refused sobriety exercises and a breath sample. He was arrested for DUI and transferred to BSO Main Jail.
