This Halloween, the children and parents in the Woodlands received a real treat: A fantastic afternoon complete with three hours of entertainment and outdoor games led by resident and entertainer Stephan.
Every section of the Woodlands was represented with families new and old and some of the families attended with their newborn babies.
Stephan led games like the balloon toss, tug-a-war and sack races to keep the children occupied and perhaps burn off some of the energy from the candy. He even had a few fun games for the adults as well, which required feats of skill. Like one contest for the men to see who could chew crackers, blow up a balloon, then drink a full can of sprite the quickest. Others took teamwork like wrapping each other with toilet paper like mummies.
Thanks so much to Paula Stitt, Marla Arce, Roshana Walker, Karen Long and Gisele Almeida for helping to set up. Also thanks to Trichelle Rais for bringing crafts for the children as well as helping to take down the decorations. Also, thanks Adam Baron for taking most of the great photos on the slideshow above. Yes, I know it was your day off. Thanks for attending.
We appreciate the neighbors in Section Eight for letting us use their clubhouse for the party this year as it is the place where all of the decorations are conveniently stored.
Thank you to Coach Sam at the Woodlands Country Club for the free golf lessons as raffle prizes. Also, thank you to all of you who donated halloween decorations or brought candy for the children.
Thanks to the WHOA for paying for this party out of our social funds as this provides such a wonderful opportunity for our families to meet one another. Please stay posted for our Annual Holiday Party on December 8, at 4 p.m. in the Section Five Clubhouse. Get those recipes ready, as we have an annual bake-off and the competition is delicious!
