Exercising with Man’s Best Friend in the Woodlands

Look closely in the Woodlands, there may be something unusual riding on that bicycle.

Forget about dogs in golf carts, the latest trend in the Woodlands is to have your pooch ride shotgun.  Section Three Resident Katie Megel (pictured) and her Chihuahua Poppy Petal love to take bicycle rides along with Katie’s mom, Jeanne.

Section Seven Resident Robert Rivet rides around with Taffee, a corgi mix who seems to enjoy the wind and front seat view on her ride.

The new Woodlands Bikeway will soon start breaking ground thanks to the City of Tamarac, making at least one large street in the Woodlands a safer place to bike or walk.

Hopefully, protected from oncoming cars.
