The Coconut Creek High School, the cross country team has improved drastically through the start of the season, competing in four events.
The boys top time runner this season is Joshua Anderson. He improved his time from the first race and had a time of 21:50.50 in the team’s third race. Jeremmiah Accius and Jeffrey Simeon were the next two to finish, followed by Cedric Sapp, Paul Inonme, Josh Cineas, Ethan Bonheur, and Cameron Smith.
The girl’s team also improved as the season continued. Laila Lawrence and Jayda Washington had top times this year for the Cougars, along with Asia Gilbert, Janiyah Black, and Avagale Jones.Â
With Hurricane Ian canceling all high school sports this week, the Cougars will be back in action next week, preparing for Districts and Regionals.Â
