The Humane Society of Broward County has two loving animals on the lookout for their forever homes.
Meet Bolt, a 3-year-old German shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a longing for a forever family.
Bolt, weighing 58 pounds, is a bit thin and could use a few extra pounds to make him feel his best. Despite his size, Bolt is a gentle giant who adores children, though sadly, he found himself back at the Humane Society after only six months in a home, as the grandkids were afraid of him.
Bolt is not only potty-trained but also enjoys playtime and can often be seen zooming around the yard with boundless energy. If you’re considering adding Bolt to your family and already have a furry friend at home, it’s advisable to arrange a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
Although Bolt’s interaction with felines is unknown, his loving nature suggests he might make some new feline friends.
On the other side of the shelter, we have Muffin, a charming and talkative kitty with a heart as big as his personality.
Muffin’s unfortunate circumstances brought him to the shelter after his mom passed away and his dad had to move out of state. This lovable feline enjoys being petted and finds solace on the bed, where he’ll gladly curl up for cuddles. He’s also known to be friendly with other cats and even bunnies, making him a perfect addition to a multi-pet household.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Bolt and Muffin or any other deserving pet, the process is simple. Just complete a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com. Once your application is approved, visit the Humane Society of Broward County, conveniently located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL. The adoption kennels open daily at 11:00 a.m., providing ample opportunity to meet and bond with your potential new family member.
For any inquiries or questions about the adoption process, don’t hesitate to call 954-989-3977, extension 6.
