The Broward League of Cities is inviting eligible Broward County high school seniors to apply for its Scholarship for Government Studies program, offering four $2,500 scholarships to students pursuing careers in public service.
The application deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The scholarships are open to 2026 graduating seniors who are permanent residents of Broward County and plan to major in public administration, political science, or another government-related field at an accredited college, university, or trade school in the United States.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative unweighted grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, verified by an official school transcript.
“Providing these scholarships is a privilege and an honor for our organization,” said Council member Denise Horland, president of the Broward League of Cities. “By supporting students today, we are helping cultivate the next generation of leaders who will lead our ONE Broward County toward a stronger, more resilient future.”
For more than a decade, the Broward League of Cities has supported local students through its Scholarship for Government Studies program.
To date, the organization has awarded more than $55,000 to Broward County students who have demonstrated leadership, communication, and sound judgment throughout their high school careers.
