ATI Ribbon-Cutting in Margate. {ATI}
ATI, a manufacturer of advanced technologies, celebrated its grand opening on February 13 with a luncheon and ribbon cutting.
The company has a 132,000-square-foot facility in Margate that contains high-power printers. According to Natalie Gillespie, spokesperson, ATI has a highly skilled workforce of about 20 engineers and technicians and plans to double the workforce by 2030.
Before the ceremony, visitors were given a tour of the facility, where they saw some of the equipment that turned powdered metal into valuable items.
Parts are designed in-house with complex geometrics based on customer needs. According to Gillespie, new alloy powder materials are designed specifically for additive manufacturing, which uses laser powder bed fusion and electron beam melting to print parts layer-by -ayer in 40-to-100-micron thickness.
Commissioners Anthony Caggiano and Joanne Simone attended the ribbon cutting. He thanked the ATI leaders for selecting Margate and praised city staff for helping the company establish its business.
“This company is great for Margate. It will bring high-paying technology jobs to the city,” said Caggiano.
ATI is located at 5301 West Copans Road in Margate.
