- Place of Occurrence: 4800 N.E. 15 Way, Oakland Park
Victim(s):
- 16-year-old female
Suspect(s):
- Luigi Stallone, 69, 10/15/41, male, 4800 N.E. 15 Way, Oakland Park
Description of Incident:
Following years of sexual abuse by a trusted family friend, the memories became too much to bear for a Broward teenager. After the brave young girl came forward last week, detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) arrested her abuser when he arrived Wednesday night at the airport.
The victim, who is now 16 years old, was only 5 when Luigi Stallone, 69, started abusing her 10 years ago. On April 29, 2011, she told investigators that after the first incident she endured illicit sexual encounters approximately three to four times a week between January 2000 and January 2005. She said over the years Stallone made her watch pornography, take part in sexual acts, and touched her inappropriately.
When Stallone’s inbound flight from JFK International Airport landed Wednesday night at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, BSO deputies were there to take him into custody on one count of sexual battery upon a child and three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.
During the course of the investigation and while questioning Stallone, SVU detectives said he admitted to the abuse and said he still dreams about sexually abusing his victim. Stallone is currently being held without bond at BSO’s Main Jail.
BSO detectives have reason to believe there may be more victims and encourage anyone with information to contact BSO SVU Det. Ann Suter at (954) 321-4240.
