Two loving pets are eagerly waiting to find their forever homes at the Humane Society of Broward County, each with their own unique story and personality.
First up is Obie, an 11-month-old, 53-pound chocolate boxer mix with a playful spirit and boundless energy. He was sadly given up due to a family member’s allergy and has been waiting for more than a month for someone to take him home.
Obie, who loves swimming, would be overjoyed to have a pool in his new home. He is known for being very playful and full of life, making him an ideal companion for an active family.
Additionally, Obie is treat-motivated and already knows a few basic commands. While he is good with kids, he has never lived with cats, and a dog meet is recommended to ensure compatibility with other dogs.
Joining Obie is Bron, a black and white, amber-eyed kitty just over a year old.
Bron has a loving and playful nature, and his entertaining antics are sure to bring joy to any home. He enjoys interactive play and has a particular fondness for soft, cuddly toys.
Bron is also known for being a curious explorer and loves relaxing in a welcoming lap for petting and cuddling sessions. J.R. Dunn Jewelers has kindly sponsored his adoption fee.
To meet Obie (ID 675191), Bron (ID 673697), or any other pet at the shelter, interested parties are encouraged to visit www.humanebroward.com and complete a pre-adoption application.
The shelter, located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale, welcomes visitors without appointments, with the adoption department opening daily at 11 a.m. For further inquiries, the shelter can be reached at 954-989-3977 ext. 6. Closed on December 24 and 25.
