The Woodlands had their first Egg Hunt on April 1st, 2012, at the Section Eight Clubhouse on Queen Palm Lane.
There were over 200 eggs that were hidden around the playground before the event began at 5 pm. Â Each parent donated either $5 or a bag of eggs. Â Almost all the plastic eggs were stuffed with candy, and even a few were stuffed with money, thanks to the Armstrongs.
There were five “golden eggs” carefully hidden by 14-year-old Max Baron, who purchased toys to go inside each one. More minor children were allowed to start the egg hunt a few minutes early, and older children had free reign to comb the area for eggs.
Broward County Commissioner Ilene Lieberman brought candy for everyone to enjoy. Â She also visited our Halloween event as well bringing goodies for our children. Â Thank you very much for thinking of our event and coming out and supporting us! Â Special thanks to Brooke B and Shaniah, and Shariah G. for helping us fill over 150 eggs with goodies. Â Also, to Judith Margolis for donating eggs and allowing us access to the clubhouse.
