On September 22, the Margate Police Department responded to a 911 domestic violence call that involved an alleged armed assault with a firearm and injuries.
According to the police report, a man, later identified as Christian Constant, 32, of Margate, and his nephew, who both share a residence, were involved in a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation.

An eyewitness recounted to officers how Constant exited his vehicle, approached the victim brandishing a handgun described as a small .380 caliber firearm, struck him on the right side of his face with the gun, and pointed it menacingly at him, uttering a clear threat: “I’m going to kill you.”
Officers quickly responded, arrested Constant, and transported him to the Broward County Main Jail.
The victim was cleared by medical personnel on the scene and did not require transport to a hospital for treatment.
