Shoplifting and Passing Counterfeit Bills at Walmart
Two individuals entered Walmart; one purchased over $300 of items using counterfeit bills and exited. The second individual attempted to use counterfeit bills for over $200 in goods but was denied and fled on foot, entering a black Cadillac sedan possibly driven by the first subject. Law enforcement was unable to apprehend them. Counterfeit bills were collected, and the Secret Service was notified.
Unauthorized Possession of Credit Card and Cannabis at 5441 W Atlantic Blvd
Suspect: Marquis Pena (DOB: 09/07/1998)
Charges: Unauthorized possession of a credit card, possession of cannabis under 20g, and a vehicle parked in a fire lane. A search after the fire lane violation revealed fraudulent/stolen credit cards.
Retail Theft, Felony Warrant, and Violation of Probation at Walmart
Suspect Aubreeyanah Ronai King (DOB: 01/20/1990)
King entered Walmart with her sister, concealed a Roku system in her purse, and was detained. She had an outstanding felony warrant for grand theft and was on probation. She was arrested and transferred to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO).
Petit Theft, Resisting Without Violence, and Warrant for Armed Robbery at Walmart (5555 W Atlantic Blvd)
Suspect: Jarred Frico (DOB: 07/14/2003)
Frico fled from law enforcement but was located behind apartments at 5560 Lakeside Dr., hiding with a knife to his throat. He was identified by Walmart’s Asset Protection and found to have approximately $116 worth of stolen items. Frico had a felony warrant for armed robbery out of Fort Lauderdale and was transferred to BSO.
Vehicle Burglary at 5350 W Atlantic Blvd
Unknown subjects in a silver Nissan Maxima entered an unlocked car and stole a visible Aldo Satchel bag containing a Coach wallet, $450 cash, Florida DL, and two credit/debit cards.
Retail Theft at Walmart (5555 W Atlantic Blvd)
Suspect: Luis Francisco Vargas (DOB: 05/23/1986)
Vargas was caught fake-scanning $223.62 worth of merchandise and attempting to leave the store. He was arrested and transferred to BSO.
Trespass After Warning at TQLA Station (5190 Coconut Creek Pkwy)
Suspect: Jonathan S. Cartagena (DOB: 05/21/2001)
Cartagena caused a disturbance and refused to leave after multiple warnings. He was taken into custody and trespassed from Crossroads Center Plaza.
Domestic Battery Arrest at 6617 Winfield Blvd
Suspect: Frank Anthony Mishko (DOB: 09/02/1999)
Mishko struck the victim with a closed fist, resulting in visible injuries. He was transferred to BSO.
Battery on Person 65 Years or Older at 6617 Winfield Blvd
Suspect: Jason Daniel Mishko (DOB: 07/23/1973)
Mishko, intoxicated, became physical with a roommate over 65. A victim statement was provided, and Mishko was taken to BSO after medical clearance.
Vehicle Burglary at International Supermarket (6085 W Atlantic Blvd)
A subject entered an unlocked Dodge Ram Limited and stole an iPhone 13 and an iPad Pro, later recovered by the victim in an alleyway. The victim declined prosecution.
Stolen Scooters on Banks Rd
A 2021 blue scooter was stolen overnight, and a 2024 white scooter was reported stolen over the weekend.
