Margate Crime Blotter: Teen Shot in Street Altercation Near Rock Island Road and Forest Blvd

The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between October 7 and 13, 2025.

Incidents

Criminal Mischief — ____ SW 7th St: A victim reported the rear window of her 2024 grey Volvo XC60 was shattered. She did not know who caused the damage.

Theft — 777 S State Road 7: Three air conditioning units were stolen from the rear of the property overnight. Time delay unknown.

Domestic Battery — ____ Harbor Bend: Victim reported an altercation on 10/06/2025 during which the subject allegedly bearhugged her. NIC completed.

Burglary Conveyance — 5555 W Atlantic Blvd (Walmart): Ricky Quisenberry (W/M 09/29/1967) was seen pulling on vehicle door handles. Victims did not wish to prosecute. A trespass warning was issued.

Burglary — Country Haven Motel, 1100 N SR 7: Officer located a broken window to room 4. No items appeared to be taken. The back office door was found unsecured. A burglary report was filed.

Domestic Violence — ____ NW 4th Place #___: The defendant and victim argued over communication with an ex-wife. The victim struck the defendant’s dog, leading to the defendant hitting the victim. Minor wrist injuries reported. Animal control notified.

Violation of Restraining Order — ____ NW 79th Ave: Ryan Frund allegedly violated an active restraining order by walking within 100 feet of the victim’s vehicle on 10/7 and 10/8.

Domestic — ____ Harbor Bend: Victim reported that Lancelot Jack punched him in the jaw on 10/7, rendering him unconscious. He received medical treatment the next day. The subject has since left the area. NIC filed.

Shooting — Rock Island Rd. and Forest Blvd.: A 15-year-old male was shot in the abdomen during an altercation in the roadway involving occupants of a vehicle. He was airlifted to Broward General. No suspect information available. CID and CST responded.

Burglary to Business — Vape Shark, 5514 W Sample Road: At 3:01 a.m., two male suspects were seen fleeing with property after smashing the front window with a brick. They fled in a black Mercedes SUV. CID and CSI responded.

Burglary to Business — Smoke Shop, 7460 Royal Palm Blvd. At 4:10 a.m., officers responded to a glass break alarm. The front door was smashed and vape products were scattered across the parking lot. CID and CSI responded.

Arrests

Warrant Arrest — 3101 N State Rd 7: Ylaveau Fabien (DOB 5/21/1966) was stopped and found to have an active Palm Beach County warrant for Probation Violation – DUI Causing Property Damage or Injury (Enhanced). Arrested and TOT BSO.

DUI Arrest — W Atlantic Blvd & Banks Road: Bernadette St Sauveur (B/F 01/19/1994) was involved in a crash and showed signs of impairment. Arrested for DUI with property damage and TOT BSO.

Domestic Battery Arrest — ____ NW 27th St: Stephen R. Jagpersad (W/M 03/07/1990) allegedly pushed the victim during a verbal dispute. Arrested and TOT BSO.

DUI Arrest — W Atlantic Blvd & N SR 7: Joshua Martinez (W/M 07/28/1996) was found sleeping behind the wheel at a traffic light. A DUI investigation led to his arrest.

Domestic Violence, Habitual Offender, Resisting Without Violence — ____ Lakeside Dr #___: Douvensky Rodrigue (B/M 08/03/2001) allegedly grabbed the victim by the neck and pushed her onto a vehicle. He refused to identify himself during a traffic stop. Identified as a habitual driving offender and arrested.

Trespass Arrest — ___ SW 51st Ave: Joel Vidales refused to leave after being advised multiple times he was being trespassed. Arrested and TOT BSO.

Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Arrest — ___ SW 49th Terrace: The subject punched the victim in the face and locked him out of the residence. Parents and DCF notified. Suspect arrested and TOT BSO.
