
Margate Police {Aiden Palmer}
The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between October 21 and 27, 2025.
Possession of a Firearm on School Property
A 17-year-old student, Jayden W. Lindo, was arrested after bringing a loaded firearm and knife to SunEd High School. The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) was notified.
Narcotics Possession and Warrant Arrest
At 800 N. State Road 7, Nicolo Angel Soma, 27, was arrested for narcotics-related offenses and an active warrant for traffic violations.
Battery/Dating Violence Arrest
A juvenile male was arrested on SW 1st Street for striking a female with whom he was in an intimate relationship. The suspect was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
Theft and Baker Act
At CVS, 1200 N. State Road 7, Dwayne Devoe, 34, stole a humidifier and fled northbound. Officers found him hiding between vehicles, and the item was recovered. During arrest, Devoe made suicidal statements and struck his head against the police vehicle door. He was subsequently Baker Acted.
Domestic Violence Arrest
At a residence on Banks Road, Clifford Civil, 29, was arrested for battering a victim and transported to BSO Main Jail.
Burglary at Spanky’s
At approximately 3:26 a.m., a male suspect wearing a black hoodie broke into Spanky’s, 309 N. State Road 7, stole a check from the register, and fled the scene.
Shooting Arrest
A 15-year-old male was shot in the abdomen near Rock Island Road and Forest Boulevard following an altercation. The victim was airlifted to Broward General. Trentny Jamal Leak Jr., 18, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession or use of a weapon.
Theft at Walmart
A customer reported $100 stolen at the self-checkout line at Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd., after forgetting the cash. It was gone upon return.
Domestic Violence (NIC Filed)
At a residence on Pinewalk Drive N., a defendant threw a phone at the victim before fleeing. A Non-Investigative Closure (NIC) was filed.
DUI Arrest
At 4300 N. State Road 7, Raul Molina, 55, was arrested for DUI with a BAC of .256%, his second refusal.
Aggravated Battery (Domestic)
At a residence on SW 6th Street, Fabio Ramirez, 58, was involved in an aggravated domestic battery.
Child Abuse Arrest
At 6095 NW 8th Street, Ashley Ferguson, 32, was arrested for punching a juvenile during a physical altercation.
Simple Battery
At 112 NW 69th Terrace, Sara Bashan, 72, struck a victim’s hand during a parking dispute. The victim declined prosecution; the case was exceptionally cleared.
Child Abuse at Little Caesars
At 277 S. State Road 7, an adult customer struck a juvenile employee in the face following a dispute over an order. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
Domestic Violence Battery (NIC Filed)
At a residence on Pinewalk Drive N., Stefani Eugene, 32, fled the scene after battering a victim. NIC completed.
Domestic Violence Battery (NIC Filed)
At a residence on SW 68th Avenue, Anselo Calix fled the scene after a domestic dispute. NIC filed.
Capias Arrest
At 5485 W. Atlantic Blvd., Jonathan Squire, 32, was found to have a warrant for battery and was transported to BSO Main Jail.
Traffic and Warrant Arrests
At 1000 N. State Road 7, Samantha Martin, 25, and Toni Labriola, 31, were arrested following a traffic stop. Martin was charged with warrants for criminal use of personal ID and petit theft. Labriola, the registered owner, was also arrested on outstanding warrants.
Theft Arrest at CVS
At 1200 N. State Road 7, Walter Louis Brown, 54, was arrested for stealing two cases of beer and transported to BSO Main Jail.
Armed Robbery and Aggravated Child Abuse Arrest
At 5 Below, 5385 W. Atlantic Blvd., Marcia McDonald committed armed robbery and aggravated child abuse. McDonald concealed items in a bag and pepper-sprayed three employees, one a minor, before fleeing in a red Nissan Altima. She was later located and arrested.
Fraud via Facebook Marketplace
At 960 NW 80th Ave., a victim sent $180 through three transactions to a suspect named “Patrice” for a PlayStation 5. The suspect blocked the victim and left a note at the residence warning of scams.
