The Margate Police Department responded to a variety of incidents and made multiple arrests between August 5 and 11, 2025.
Incidents
Retail Theft (Delayed)
Bealls, 2450 N. SR 7 – Report delayed from July 31.
Burglary
5500 NW 15th St. (CubeSmart) – Between 6 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 6, multiple tools valued at approximately $1,500 were taken from a vehicle. The victim stated the vehicle was locked, but the passenger-side rear door could not secure, possibly serving as the point of entry.
Residential Fire
340 SW 61st Ave. – State Fire Marshal responded. The Red Cross provided assistance to those affected.
Aggravated Assault/Simple Battery
Burger King, 550 N. SR 7 – On Aug. 7 at 9:01 p.m., a man began arguing with the assistant manager for unknown reasons. When asked to leave, he pulled out a razor knife, threatened to stab her, and spat in her face.
Simple Battery/Resist Without Arrest
Royal Palm Blvd. – A man became aggressive with the victim, implied he had a gun, and struck her on the shoulder.
Burglary/Battery
Lakeside Dr. N. – At approximately 1:30 p.m., two male suspects pushed their way into a victim’s apartment as she retrieved a package, choking and pushing her. One suspect claimed he was retrieving his belongings, but the victim denied anything of his was inside.
Stolen Tag
Holiday Springs Blvd. – License plate stolen from a vehicle and later found on a reported stolen vehicle in Oakland Park.
Single-Vehicle Crash with Property Damage
100 Rock Island Rd. – Traffic Homicide Investigation (THI) callout.
Arrests
Domestic Violence Battery
Banks Road – Asia Martin (DOB: 07/14/1995) struck the victim’s hand twice during a child exchange, causing his phone to hit his face. She admitted to hitting the hand holding the phone.
NW 79th Ave. – Joshua Robles-Martinez arrested.
Pinewalk Dr. S. – Jumoke Williams pushed the victim down and damaged a door.
Southgate Blvd. – Martin Morales (DOB: 08/07/1968) struck the victim repeatedly while intoxicated and poured gasoline inside the home, threatening to set it on fire. Police intervened before a fire occurred.
SW 2nd St. – Deonte Wright struck the victim during an argument over an iPad; transported to HCA by rescue.
Capias/Warrant Arrest
1200 N. SR 7 – Barthelemy Saintime (DOB: 02/02/1982) stopped for a traffic violation and found to have an active grand theft warrant out of Broward; no bond.
810 SW 49th Terrace – Juvenile arrested on warrant and violation of probation.
7150 W. Atlantic Blvd. – Keneisha Johnson (DOB: 08/26/1980) was arrested for dealing in stolen property and providing false ID on a pawn slip.
DUI/Narcotics
5200 W. Copans Rd. – Bryce Apgar (DOB: 07/11/2003) was arrested following a single-vehicle crash.
Simple Battery
NW 60th Ave. – Anelda Louis (DOB: 06/10/1987) struck the victim after a verbal altercation; Notice to Appear issued.
Retail Theft/Warrants
Walmart, 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd. – White male suspect arrested after stealing items and fleeing on foot. Positive show-up identification. Multiple no-bond warrants for weapons and theft.
Vehicle Burglary
NW 2nd St. – Devonn Singletary (DOB: 08/21/1989) apprehended by K9 after perimeter search with BSO aviation assistance; charged with loitering and prowling, violation of probation. Multiple stolen items recovered.
