The Margate Police Department responded to various incidents and made multiple arrests between September 16 and 22, 2025.
Crime Incidents
Retail Theft
5000 Coconut Creek Parkway
Suspects stole 11 half-gallons of Gain detergent valued at $16.75 each, totaling $184.25. They fled in a black Toyota.
Grand Theft – Motor Vehicle
7305 W. Atlantic Blvd.
A white Honda Civic R-Type was stolen between 9 p.m. on 9/16 and 7 a.m. on 9/17. It was later recovered unoccupied at 3720 SW 52nd Ave. in Pembroke Park by local police.
Burglary – Residential (Delayed)
____ NW 70th Lane
Items stolen from a back patio included an electric smoker, floor rug, two ottomans, and four plants. The theft occurred sometime after 9/14 at noon. Total loss: $225.
Armed Burglary
____ NW 68th Avenue
On 9/17 at 12:33 p.m., a subject entered the residence armed with a firearm and searched rooms. A safe containing $21,000 in cash and $10,000 in gold nuggets was stolen. CSI responded and processed the scene.
Vehicle Burglaries
461 NW 76th Avenue (Parking Lot)
Between 5:30 p.m. and 5:22 a.m., two vehicles (BMW and Mercedes) had windows smashed. No items reported stolen.

____ Pinewalk Dr. S.
A white 2024 Honda Pilot was stolen from a driveway between 9/19 at 8:06 p.m. and 9/20 at 9:40 a.m. The key fob had been left in the vehicle.
Theft of Cell Phone
2403 N SR 7 “Red Tomato”
A homeless victim left his black Android A-13 phone ($300) charging overnight. It was stolen by an unknown subject.
Domestic Battery – NIC Filed
____ SW 8th Street
Suspect Kevin Holloway (B/M, 8/29/81) allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing visible injuries. The victim called police after the suspect returned home. Suspect was gone on arrival; NIC completed.
Theft – Scooter
Walmart, 7305 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Victim left a black electric scooter near the garden entrance around 2:30 p.m. At 4:15 p.m. it was missing. Value: $300. Victim wishes to prosecute.
Burglary – Commercial
5203 Coconut Creek Parkway
Between 9/20 at 5 p.m. and 9/22 at 5:57 a.m., two containers had locks removed. Stolen: two compactors ($3,000 each), two level lasers ($900 each), and a drill ($259).

Defendant: Bently Paul (B/M, 4/8/03)
Parking violation led to search; Oxycodone located.
Aggravated Assault with Firearm

Pointed a firearm at a process server. Victim gave sworn statement.
Failure to Return Vehicle & Multiple Charges
5425 W. Atlantic Blvd.
Defendant: Nicholas Anthony Gordon (B/M, 9/6/87)
Observed driving overdue U-Haul. Resisted arrest, was tased, and taken into custody. Charges included false ID to LEO, drug possession, resisting without violence, DWLS, VOP, and failure to pay child support. TOT BSO.
