Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Rescue {Aiden Palmer}
A man drowned after falling into the water while fishing in Margate on Sunday, police said.
The Margate Police and Fire Departments rushed to the scene, where fire department rescuers found the man and took him to HCA Florida Northwest Hospital.
Doctors pronounced the man dead upon arrival, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, but there does not appear to be any foul play, police said Monday.
Additional information about the incident, including the name of the drowned man, was not made public.
