The Humane Society of Broward County highlights the stories of two residents: Wilson, a two-year-old dog with a gentle soul, and Tito, a one-year-old cat seeking a tranquil environment.
Wilson was discovered tied up outside a veterinary office in December and has since been under the care of the Humane Society.
Despite his rough start, Wilson has shown nothing but love and eagerness to become a loyal companion. Known for his friendly demeanor, Wilson is adept at commands like “sit,” “down,” and “up.”
According to the Humane Society, he is particularly fond of children and enjoys independent play and interactive games, such as fetch and keep-away.
The shelter emphasizes that Wilson would do well in a home with or without other dogs, provided a proper introduction is arranged. His adoption fee has been generously covered by Dolly’s Dream, making it easier for potential adopters to welcome him into their homes.
Tito’s journey to the shelter was prompted by his owner’s illness, leaving him searching for a new, loving home. This one-year-old cat thrives in calm environments and would prefer a home without dogs.
He gets along well with other mellow cats and yearns for a patient owner who will give him the time he needs to adjust to his new surroundings.
The Humane Society of Broward County invites potential adopters to visit their facility at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, to meet Wilson, Tito, and other pets needing a home.
The adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. Interested parties are encouraged to complete a pre-adoption application online at www.humanebroward.com before visiting. For more information, the shelter can be contacted at 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
