Want your signs back? Under 403.413 Florida Litter Law, it will cost you $50 each. Come on by with the cash.

These signs that greet you on your way out of our community each morning are nicknamed “Snipe Signs” by the cities, and rightfully so. Business owners place them there in the middle of the night because they know that what they do is illegal and will be fined if caught.
They are a blight to our community and junk up our corners. Don’t confuse these with occasional HOA signs that remind people of meetings, alarm company signs in yards, or, God forbid, Girl Scout Cookie Signs (although we do have a resident here that feels this warrants police response).
“Snipe Signs” are never intended to be picked up by their owners. The city code compliance officers have to pick these up each day if they can even get to them all, as they can number into the hundreds across the city.
There has been a battle with one particular company called Tax Monster at 3890 W Commercial Blvd # 219. Unfortunately, this tax company has continued to place illegal signs in our community from University to 31st East past State Road 7.
Today I resorted to picking up the signs myself over on the east side of the city where they are most prevalent.

Snipe Signs Littering Tamarac
Help stop this form of urban spam in our community by stopping these illegal “snipe signs” seen all over Tamarac, Lauderhill, North Lauderhill, and Lauderdale Lakes. Feel free to call them today and tell them that we do not want their signs in our community, and we will request their call center until they stop littering our neighborhoods with their signs.
They aren’t the only company that is littering our corners. Our city code enforcement officers collect signs like these every day, only to have them appear the next day. It’s been a losing battle, and I think the residents should tell these companies that they’ve had enough.
