An Open House-styled neighborhood meeting will be held by 13th Floor Homes to discuss their recent application to the City of Tamarac’s Community Development Department according to a letter sent out from the president of the company, Michael Nunziata.
Back in 2017, 13th Floor Homes announced that it was seeking to build 525 single-family homes across two 18-hole golf courses at the Woodlands Country Club, currently owned by Canadian golf course owner, ClubLink Since then, they have lowered the number of new homes by 103.
Nunziata said 13th Floor has had several meetings with the community regarding the repositioning of the Woodlands Country Club Golf Course and the Woodlands 2020 Vision Plan – which includes all for sale, single family homes, gated entrances, improved entry features, extensive lake and landscape buffers, over 160 acres of open space, walking trails and more.
The application, which has been submitted to Tamarac’s Community Development Department, is to allow for a future land use plan amendment to amend the future land use of approximately 165.53 acres within the Woodlands Country Club from commercial recreation to low residential and a rezoning of approximately 115.9 acres from recreation to, residential estates, and approximately 51.5 acres from recreation to two-family residential.
During the Open House, the developer will explain the proposal and application, inform attendees about the application process, respond to questions and concerns, and propose ways to resolve conflicts and concerns.
The meeting will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Country Club on 4600 Woodlands Blvd Tamarac.
