After writing to ClubLink concerned about the fountain, I received an email from Regional Executive Director Mark Trepanier asking to meet.
I thought this was great, and we set a date. Also in attendance was the new Director of Operations Jim Greene, as well as my neighbor and board member, Ilene Michelson. Although, I couldn’t speak for the community as a whole – I told ClubLink I was there addressing my own concerns, and I’m sure the other sections would enjoy meeting with them as well.
After getting my first email, they began the process of getting bids to fix the fountain, which had been inoperable since late 2015. A few weeks after our meeting, they advised me that corporate had approved the funds to finally fix it. I believe the whole motor was shot, but don’t quote me on that. Fast forward to today, I noticed that the fountain is working again, which is great news.
Other concerns we discussed were broken sprinklers along Commercial Boulevard along with other areas. While it doesn’t look too bad now, during dry season it’s pretty brown. This is one of the items they said they would look into. But they were clear that their first priority was the course which they had to put their resources into to attract the golfers, which we understood.
Right now, the club is public, so call them and book a tee-time and keep the courses busy at Book a Tee Time at the Woodlands Country Club. They also have hired a new Event Sales Manager named Allie Callahan, so if you or anyone you know has a special event, consider having it here.
